“I am equally afraid and excited that we as species have the urge to constantly redefine what it means to be a human and what is natural. Therefore I make visual stories that revolve around innovation, alteration, and modification of human nature with the focus on the human body. Science and technology have an essential input in my practice as I base my visual narrative on real scientific studies which I interpret in a fictional/conceptual way. In my stories, I combine different visual elements such as photographs, animated short movies, VR, text and sound. This frequently results in installations, which offer the viewer a bodily experience of the content.”
